Viktor Čech (*1980)
is a curator, critic and theoretician of contemporary art based in Prague. He studied art history at the Faculty of Arts, Charles University in Prague and completed his doctoral studies at the Faculty of Art and Design at ÚJEP in Ústí nad Labem.
He currently works as a curator at the East Bohemian Gallery in Pardubice, CZ (from May 2022), while still working as an independent curator and art critic.
He worked as an assistant professor at the Department of Art Education at the Faculty of Education, Charles University in Prague (2014-2021).
Since 2005, he has prepared a number of curatorial projects focusing on various contemporary art topics. In recent years, he has been most interested in the relationship between visual art and choreography or dance.
